The goal of consuming recreational marijuana should always be to enjoy. Below you’ll find some tips to optimize your cannabis experience, whether smoking, vaping, or taking edibles dispensary recreational.
Smoking
For beginners, we usually recommend smoking a joint first, before moving on to bongs and blunts. Start with a puff and wait 15 minutes to see how you feel. There is no need to hold the smoke in your lungs like they do in the movies; Just inhale and exhale, and see how your body reacts to that particular strain.
After 15 minutes, and as long as you feel good, take another puff and continue at that pace. If you don’t smoke tobacco, don’t mix it with marijuana, as you may feel dizzy and nauseous. Another tip for newbies is to use a small or one puff pipe. Unlike bongs, these hits are not as big or overwhelming.
Vapear
Vaporizers preserve many more cannabinoids and terpenes because they use lower temperatures. When vaping, inhale the vapor slowly and steadily for about 5-10 seconds, depending on the vaporizer model. Inhale and exhale normally, and check your reaction. Wait 15 to 20 minutes before taking another puff.
Groceries
Consuming edibles can be a little tricky for newbies because they often take more than an hour to take effect. If you live in a country where cannabis is legal, buy edibles that come with clear dosage information, and limit yourself to doses of between 5 and 10 mg of THC per session.
If you can’t buy edibles at a dispensary, prepare them at home and start small and slow. If you make cookies, for example, take half of one and wait at least an hour before eating more. Edibles have to pass through the digestive system to take effect, so don’t fool yourself into eating more because you don’t feel anything after 20 minutes.
Remember: the keys to enjoying marijuana are knowing the variety and your body, starting from the bottom and going slow. For more information on how to properly dose herb, see our article on dosing methods.
